Useful Information

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

Where do the climbing activities take place in Catalonia?

We work in the best climbing areas in the region, selecting the sector based on the discipline and the time of year. Our regular spots include Collegats, Terradets, Àger, Camarasa, Amitges, Cavallers, Montserrat, Margalef, and Siurana.

What climbing modalities do you offer?

At Pirineu Vertical, we cover the full spectrum of verticality: from introductory climbing experiences for beginners and training courses to gain autonomy, to technical guiding on multi-pitch routes, ridges, and sport climbing.

Do I need to be in good physical shape to start climbing?

Climbing is a very progressive activity. For beginner levels, all you need is a normal fitness level and a desire to enjoy nature. As the difficulty of the route or course increases, we will advise you on the specific endurance and strength requirements.

Is it safe to climb with a mountain guide?

Safety is our core foundation. All activities are led by certified guides (Sports Technicians) and members of the AEGM. We use certified equipment and follow risk management protocols to minimize any hazard, allowing you to enjoy the experience with complete peace of mind.

What does the price of the climbing activity include?

Our prices include: the service of a certified guide, accident and public liability insurance, a high-quality photo report, as well as collective technical gear (ropes, quickdraws, etc.) and individual equipment (helmet, harness, personal anchor system, climbing shoes).

Can I book a private guiding service or are they always open groups?

We offer both options. You can sign up for our scheduled training sessions to meet other climbers or hire a private guide for a personal project, a specific route, or an exclusive coaching session for you or your group.

What is the best time of year to climb in Catalonia?
Catalonia allows for climbing 365 days a year. During the cold months, we take advantage of the sunniest faces, while in summer we head to shaded areas or the high Pyrenean mountains in search of cooler, more comfortable temperatures.
Do I need to bring my own climbing shoes?

If you already have your own, we recommend bringing them for comfort. If not, we will provide you with climbing shoes so you can enjoy the activity all the same.

How can I make a reservation or check availability?

It is very simple: you can fill out the contact form on our website, send us an email, or call us directly. We will get in touch with you to define the activity that best suits your level and goals.

What is included in the activity?
