Useful Information

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

What is exactly a climbing guiding service?
A guiding service is where a certified guide accompanies you and manages all safety, logistics, and technical decision-making on the wall. The goal is for you to focus on enjoying the climb and achieving your goals or summits with complete peace of mind.
Do I need a minimum level to book a guiding service?
No. The guiding is fully customized. We can guide you on your first vertical experience or accompany you on high-difficulty projects. We select the itinerary based on your physical condition and prior experience.
What areas do we cover with our guiding services?

We work in the best climbing areas in the territory, selecting the sector based on the discipline and the time of year. Our regular areas include Collegats, Terradets, Àger, Camarasa, Amitges, Cavallers, Montserrat, Margalef, and Siurana.

Is it safer to climb with a certified guide?

Absolutely. A certified climbing guide (TD) has the training and experience to analyze terrain, manage risks, and apply international safety protocols. This minimizes uncertainties and maximizes your safety in the mountains.

Can I request a specific route or ridge that I would like to climb?
Yes, this is one of our most valued services. If you have a "vertical dream" or a route on your wishlist, we take care of the logistics so you can achieve your goal, providing prior advice on its feasibility based on your level.
What equipment does the guiding service include?

Pirineu Vertical provides all the necessary technical equipment for the activity, both collective and individual, including climbing shoes.

The only things you will need to bring are comfortable clothing and appropriate mountain footwear. Even so, if you do not have mountain footwear, we will advise you on the best option depending on the activity.

What is the maximum ratio for a guiding service?
The ratio depends on the difficulty and terrain. In multi-pitch routes or ridges, the ratio is usually 1 guide for 1 or 2 clients, and in sport climbing up to 6 clients.
Does it include transport to the climbing area?

Normally, the meeting point is at the location where the activity takes place. Even so, we help you manage the logistics and, in many cases, we can coordinate transport depending on the starting point and availability.

How is the booking managed in case of bad weather forecasts?

We constantly monitor the weather. If the weather does not guarantee safety, we will offer you an alternative area with better conditions or postpone the guiding service to a date that suits you. Safety is always our priority.

Does the guiding activity include a photo report?

Yes! We want you to focus on climbing, so the guide will take care of capturing the best moments of the ascent so you have a high-quality keepsake of your experience on the vertical.
