La Noguera

Montsec

Terradets, Vilanova de Meià, Àger, Camarasa, Montrebei… The Montsec area is an absolute limestone paradise, featuring imposing walls and exceptional rock quality. Here we find multi-pitch routes on solid, grippy rock, with generous holds, jugs, and crimps that let you enjoy both the movement and the reading of the wall.

    Type of rock

    Limestone

Here, limestone is the absolute protagonist. A compact and grippy rock that offers everything from technical slabs and elegant cracks to physical overhangs on generous holds.

    Climbing Styles

Montsec combines athletic climbing, massive vertical walls, and a multi-pitch atmosphere in some of the most spectacular spots in the country.

    Climbing Sectors

Montsec is a universe in its own right, divided by spectacular gorges. Each area has its own unique personality, ranging from big adventure walls to sport climbing crags with excellent rock and a tranquil vibe.

Terradets (Paret de les Bagasses & Bruixes Sector)

One of the great legends of Catalan climbing. Paret de les Bagasses offers everything from enjoyable, straightforward multi-pitch routes with plenty of holds to more classic and adventurous itineraries. The area also features demanding, high-quality sport climbing sectors like the Bruixes sector.

Vilanova de Meià (Roca dels Arcs)

One of Montsec's most iconic sectors. Roca dels Arcs combines bolted multi-pitch routes, abundant holds, and athletic climbing on spectacular limestone, with options ranging from accessible to highly challenging.

    Àger

One of the area's best-known crags, featuring grippy rock, varied orientations, and sectors ideal both for winter climbing and for seeking out physical endurance routes.

    Camarasa

Sport climbing on compact, very vertical limestone, featuring high-quality sectors and technical routes where precision and movement reading take center stage.

    Mont-rebei

Considered by many to be a true temple of adventure climbing. Both Paret de Catalunya and Paret d'Aragó offer great character-filled lines on wild, sparsely bolted, and highly vertical terrain, where route-finding and self-sufficiency are part of the experience.
